  1. John Leonard I am searching for anyone who might have know my uncle Robert H. Crum. He was a 2nd Lt. Company B, 1st battalion (Airborne), 8th Cavalry. He was killed in action on May 22nd, 1966 near Binh Dinh Province. I would love to know more about him and the battle in which he was killed. Thanks.

I handled convoy control, contract Beer and Soda trucks and ran the roads in and around Cu Chi, Phu Loi, Dian etc. I am the author of a 1200 page book "Vietnam Military Lore - Legends, Shadows and Heroes" the stories of Camps, Airfields etc named in Nam for KIAs during the war. Its been out since Memorial Day and getting great reveiews. I am looking for guys I knew in nam.

  18. Eneida Nastase I am trying to locate anyone who would have served with my father. His name is Jose Echevarria (his friends called him Joe). He's told me very little of his experience. Recently he told me he served under 82nd airborne batallion,101st cavalry division, 24th medevac hospital from Jan.'71 until Aug.'72. He received basic training in Fort Jackson, medical training in Fort Sam Houston, mechanics and cooks training in Fort Polk (south Fort). He's told me he would like to hear from some of his buddies or at least to know where they are so I'm trying to help him...

Sent to Kunsan, Korea in April 0f 69,in support of N Korea shooting down of an EC121. In June was reassigned to the 431MMS in Tuy Hoa, Viet Nam. When this tour of duty was over I was reassigned to the 692nd Radar Squadron at Baudette Minnesota.

  27. Jim Stone Delta Co. 1/9 USMC, I Corps, Khe Sahn, etc., 67-68. I was assigned to Delta 1/9 upon arrival RVN just after the battle for Con Thien. 1/9 units took heavy losses. Replacements were joining the Bn at Camp Evans. I was assigned to 2nd platoon, known as the Indiana Boys. The squad leader, Jerry Jones was 24 and I was about 18. We are the best of friends. He lives 77 miles from me. We are still linked to about a dozen guys fro0m our time at Khe Sahn. We would like to "reach" some of our brothers....

  28. RAY BOWS MSGT US ARMY (ret.) I was stationed in Korea at Camp Mercer in 1963 and 1964 until the Chemical Depot was closed out and moved to Camp Carrol near Taegu. I then took an inter-theater transfer to Europe and was stationed in downtown Paris, France for three years. Finally I made it to Vietnam in June 1968. I am looking for a guy SP4 Gibson from Georgia I was with in Saigon for a couple of months with. Also want to locate SSG John Whitfield from Phila, Lodi from who knows where, Dennis Respole from NY. Dennis used to work for the Ladies Home Journal before he was drafted. My best buddy in Nam Ben Barrett from West Virginia and Capt Ashley who was stationed with me when we ran the trailer transfer point with the 25th Infantry Division in Cu Chi from jan to June 1969. Also want to locate my old buddy Capt Ron Hunter, commo officer for the 2/34th Armor at Cu Chi. Id also like to fine Jim Sparks from LA. We were stationed in Korea together, Also Don Casey, Mike Michaels, Lee Satrang and Jeff Clark from Paris. And finally Master Sergeant Johnie Hughes from my last tour in Korea in 1978-1980. I am also trying to locate Therman L. (Butch) Wilson. I heard that he was a truck driver in Colorado. For any of those interested I have just completed a ten year project memorializing the camps, compounds and airfields of Vietnam and the KIAs they were named in honor of. Every place from Camp Holloway, Camp Goodman, Camp J.J. Carroll to Goldberg Airfield, and the Meyerkord BOQ. Over fifty camps etc are listed in all with detailed biographies of the men behind each locations.   41. John Carlton 173rd ABN E co. 4th Batt, Bong Song, 68-69. Served as F.O. for the mortar platoons and traveled with all the line companies at different times. Worst memory was the booby trapped artillery round on April 19,1969 that killed 9 and wounded 11-12 men in our platoon. This happened on a small island northeast of Bong Song near LZ English. The chopper crew that came in that night to extract the wounded, deserve the highest award for bravery. My hats off to all the men that served in VN!

  56. Tim Fitzsimmons Bien Hoa, 1969-70. My brother, WO Pat Fitzsimmons was killed August 15, 1970. I have been unable to talk much about this for years and don't have many details. According to his best friend WO Eric Lincoln, Pat was flying a LOH when he was shot down and killed. Pat and Eric were from Ventura, California. Eric is living somewhere in Hawaii and I've not spoken with him for years.   63. Harold D. Dye A CO, 25th Avn Bn, Cu Chi, 1967-68. I remember flying a very tough re-supply mission to bring fuel to the bobcats. They had been in a fire fight and were running out fuel. We landed at night inside their perimeter with only a hand held strobe light to make their location. The unit was under attack. We were very proud to have assisted such a great unit and hopefully saved some lives. You guys were great. A Little Bear Pilot

I was a crane operator and also in charge of other mechanics. I was 20 yeras old. Even though Cam Rahn Bay was considered fairly safe, I'll never forget those rocket attacks and the nights spent in an underground bunker during red Alerts.
